Full Sill & Sub-Sill Replacement in - Deal, Kent

We have just completed a full timber sill and sub-sill replacement in Deal, Kent, after the existing lower sections of the window frame had deteriorated beyond the point where a smaller repair would have been suitable.

The damaged timber was carefully removed back to sound material before new replacement sections were prepared and fitted. Both the main sill and sub-sill were replaced, restoring the lower part of the frame and providing a solid base for the existing window above.

The new timber sections were shaped to match the original profiles as closely as possible, helping the repair blend naturally with the existing joinery. Once fitted, the joints were made good and the surrounding areas prepared ready for final decoration.

We recently completed the installation of four new oak casement windows in Canterbury, fitting the new casements into the property’s existing timber frames.

The original frames were still in suitable condition, so rather than replacing the complete windows, we were able to manufacture new casements to suit the existing openings. This allowed us to retain more of the original joinery while replacing the sections that had reached the end of their useful life.

We’ve recently completed a front door overhaul and draught-proofing project in Hawkhurst, helping to restore the performance of a beautiful timber door without the need for a full replacement. We’ve been working in Ramsgate this week, fitting and finishing a set of internal doors, along with installing reclaimed hardware on a front door to give it a real character feel.Inside the property, we carefully hung all internal doors, making sure each one was perfectly aligned, opening smoothly, and closing cleanly.

We then fitted new beehive style door hardware, including handles, latches, and hinges, finishing everything off with a neat, consistent look throughout the home.At the front, the focus was on reusing some beautiful reclaimed door hardware, bringing a bit of history back to the entrance.
